My July 4th video is up a little early... it's a spoof of Thomas Jefferson writing the Declaration of Independence, featuring the always brilliant Geneticblend as John Adams. Enjoy, and have a great holiday week.

This video is from footage I shot last December in Moss Landing, CA. I rarely hold on to unused footage as it just eats up hard drive space, but I knew I didn't want to trash this. But I was also reluctant to post it, after YouTube featured somebody else's "sea otters kissing" video. I did not want this to be seen as just a knock-off of that.

But I really loved the footage, and my wife kept asking if I was ever going to post it, so this is for her. And the soundtrack is actually by my mother-in-law. So, this really is a family video. Enjoy. (And be glad I cut it down to 3:20, I have about ten times that much footage still left over).

My YouTube friend, Reid Baer (AKA NewWarriorMan) posted a new poem/video entitled "Masks People Wear: A Writer's Shadow". This is my reply to him, "Masks Writers Wear."

Who says you need ideas to make a video? Just because you have nothing to say is no reason to participate in the YouTube community. If you want to make a video, just carry your camera around with you and start filming any old time. Then, just for extra effect, put a #1 in the title to give the illusion that the random bit of video you just posted is part of a well-thought-out series of videos still to come.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you now, "Lunch with kenrg #1: Kirk's Steakburgers."

Here's the second political collaboration with my conservative friend, PappyStu. The topic today is Universal Health Care, and whether or not the U.S. needs some form of reform to provide health care for all. Again, the point of these videos isn't to reach consensus; it's just to begin a civil conversation on issues that are important in our national life.
