One of the many good friends I have met through vlogging is Curt (aka OhCurt, Curt344, Curtzilla, etc.). Today is Curt's final day of college to earn his Bachelor's degree. Not such a big deal? Well, Curt's one of those "returning students" who's finishing up at 40. That's dedication, that's hard work, and that's pretty cool.

So, I've organized about two dozen of Curt's other online friends and put together a special YouTube channel for him call OhGraduate and filled it up with tributes to him. Below you'll find my individual tribute as well as the group tribute that I edited together from what the others sent me.

Margaret Fabrizio, known online as "Tree," is a harpsichordist (she taught harpsichord and piano performance at Stanford), artist (paintings, quilts, collages, etc.), and vlogger on YouTube and VloggerHeads. She's one of the most amazing people I've met online through my vlogging, and yesterday I had an invitation to join her in her home as she presented her latest quilt to the world.

Yesterday was the big "YouTube Live!" event in San Francisco. I was invited to attend, and I did rsvp, but it just sounded so... well, so... lame. Yeah, lame. YouTube (or, let's just say, video sharing / vlogging) is not a programmed event, with a clear line between audience and entertainer. The video revolution is about knocking down that wall and communicating user to user.

So, I skipped out on the actual event (and, from what I've seen and heard online so far, that was a good choice), but I did go up to SF earlier in the day to meet up for lunch with Gary (Anakin1814), Curt (OhCurt), Mike (MusoSF), Jason (nbwulf), and Christopher (ChristopherMast). My wife, Leslie, also joined us, but as usual, she doesn't like to be in the actual videos.

Heidi, of the previously mentioned "VloggerHeads shot fest" has edited together clips of the participants and Saturday's online party. I've tweaked the edit and the music a bit to make my own version of the collab video...

Last night, a couple of VloggerHeads (Heidi and Mysti Mayhem) decided to start an impromptu shot and tongue twister vlog relay. It quickly crossed over to YouTube as well (hey, who knew that drinking on a Saturday night would catch on?).

Here's my contributions to the cause...
